Geckoboard migration guide

Looking for a geckoboard alternative?
Built for SaaS founders, not TV dashboards.

Geckoboard is excellent at beaming charts at a wall. If you run a $5k–$50k MRR SaaS, that breadth isn't your problem — your problem is knowing the moment an MRR dip, a failed-charge spike, or a high-LTV churn hits. PulseOperations is alert-first. Real-time Stripe alerts. $99/mo. 14-day free trial.

Pricing model — alert-first, not seat-first

Geckoboard wins on breadth: 80+ data sources, beautiful TV layouts, and a generous free plan tier founders genuinely use. But Geckoboard prices by dashboards and seats, not by the alerts you actually need — so the price crawls up as your team or product surface grows, even when all you needed was the one Stripe signal.

PulseOps is built differently. One plan, one Stripe connection, $99/mo flat. No seat math, no per-dashboard creep. You pay for the alert engine — and the alert engine is the only thing we ship.

Alerting depth — the thing Geckoboard doesn't do

Geckoboard is a dashboard tool. It visualizes data — beautifully — but it does not page you. There is no "MRR dropped 8% in 30 minutes" alert, no "high-LTV customer canceled" Slack ping, no "failed charges spiked 3× above baseline" trigger. The closest is a threshold widget you have to stare at, on a screen you have to be near.

PulseOps fires within 15 minutes of the event. MRR drops, failed-charge spikes, high-LTV churn, prospect SLA breaches — all delivered to email and Slack on a per-company alert rule engine. You don't refresh a dashboard. The alert finds you.

Founder-fit — Stripe-native, not data-source-sprawl

If you're a marketing team at a mid-market company, Geckoboard is the right call. 80 integrations, TV mode, KPI dashboards for an exec wall — that's its job and it does it well. PulseOps is not trying to be that.

If you're a founder of a small SaaS running on Stripe, we are aimed at you. Connect Stripe via OAuth in ~2 minutes (no API keys to copy), pick the rules that matter for your stage, and get the first alert firing within the hour. No implementation consultant. No config YAML. No data warehouse schema.

Frequently asked questions

No. Geckoboard is a dashboard product — it visualizes data on screens, it does not push notifications when something breaks. Threshold widgets exist but they only fire if a viewer is actively looking at the dashboard. PulseOps emails or Slacks you within 15 minutes of an event.

No — and that's deliberate. We don't replicate Geckoboard's dashboard breadth; we do one thing extremely well (Stripe-native alerting) instead of 80 things adequately. If you rely on Geckoboard's wall of charts, keep it. If you want proactive alerts on Stripe events, run them in parallel for the trial.

Geckoboard is genuinely great at TV mode — full-screen charts rotating on a wall. We don't compete there. If your team needs a wall of charts, keep using Geckoboard for that and add PulseOps as your alerting layer on top.

Geckoboard is solid on email support with a longer enterprise-grade response window. Pro PulseOps plans get a 4-hour priority response from a small team that actually wrote the alert engine — email or Slack, your choice.
